Wooden Puzzle THE CRETAN

The big black thick mustache and the black “sariki” (Cretan turban) on the head are main characteristics of the Cretan Male figure. The “sariki” with the many fringes in the shape of tears is said to symbolize the many years of the Ottoman domination. The town of Heraklion was called Candia by the Venetians, and the Cretan figure is a tribute to our roots.
